COMMUNITY SUPPORT MAKES OUR WORK POSSIBLE

At Soroptimist International of Downriver, we believe that when a community comes together to support women and girls, incredible things can happen. The generosity of

our donors, sponsors, and community partners allows us to provide programs that empower, educate, and inspire. Their support makes it possible for us to host our signature Dream It, Be It program, helping high school girls build confidence, explore opportunities, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

Because of that same support, we are able to expand and customize programming for additional populations, including women participating in treatment court programs who are working to rebuild their lives and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Community investment also enables us to offer free public educational events, such as internet safety programs that help parents and caregivers better protect children from online predators and the dangers that exist on the dark web.

In addition, donations help us provide comfort, care, and support to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence through meaningful service projects and partnerships with organizations serving these vulnerable populations.

The need is great, and there is always more work to be done. Every scholarship awarded, every educational program offered, and every life touched is made possible by the people and businesses that stand beside us. We are deeply grateful for our community partners and supporters who share our vision of helping women and girls dream bigger, reach higher, and build brighter futures.
